REMINDERS  

  • Thank you for the opportunity to speak with you at conferences.  I enjoyed sharing their strengths and being able to gain insight and strategies to help each of them continue to mature and learn!
  • Friday, November 21:  We hope many of the families are able to join us for the Fish Sticks Comedy show at 7:00 in the gym.  Tickets are on sale in the school office and will be available at the door as well!
  • Send a napkin with snack every day!         
  • Return library books by Thursday every week!

 CLASS WORK:

  • READING: Letter Aa-Kk       

       We will work on the letters Aa-Kk this week!  We will not make any book, we will practice the sounds, practice all the songs and practice writing the letters(uppercase and lowercase).

 

       Practice reading the book, saying the sound(s), singing the song and writing the letter correctly!

       Practice sight words every night so they can "see it and say it".  Practice spelling them as well! 

  • MATH: Unit 3 - Geometry 

      The unit will focus on:

       

  • LANGUAGE ARTS, SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES AND ART 

      Art: Indian corn, pilgrim boy or girl, Indian

             papoose, etc.

      Science:     

      Social Studies: We are finishing our unit about the first Thanksgiving and learn about the Native Americans and the Pilgrims.  We will pick an Indian name, learn Indian sign language, Indian symbols, etc.  We will learn about the life of the Pilgrims and Indians at that time.  We will culminate with a Thanksgiving Feast(snack) on Tuesday, November 25. 

  • RELIGION: Thanksgiving

     our church!

Practice reading all the alphabet books they have made. 
Practice letter recognition-uppercase and lowercase 
Practice writing the uppercase and lowercase letters. 
Practice the sound for the letters,especially vowel sounds(long and short). 
Practice sight words every day! 
 
MATH: 
Practice left and right!    
Practice writing numbers 1-9 correctly! 
Counting by 5's and 10's to 100! 
Months of the the year. 
 
OTHER:  
Practice address, phone number and birthday. 
Tying shoes. 
Writing first and last name correctly. 
Practice the Glory Be.
