THIS WEEK:
Audrey Ellis was Star of the Week!
We read books about animals: Chameleon, Chameleon and Red Eyes or Blue Feathers.
We finished Chapter 12 (Weight and Capacity)in math.
We talked about Jesus's mother, Mary this week! We also learned about St. Monica, who was St. Augustine's mother and is the patron saint of mothers.
We wrote about our favorite bug's body parts. We also wrote our Mother's Day cards!
We planted seeds, bulbs and flowers with our buddies on planting day!
We celebrated book week by listening to a few of our favorite stories on the smartboard. We also went to a summer reading presentation by the Elm Grove library--a summer flyer came home in your home folder today. Finally, our buddies read to us today using a Nook!
NEXT WEEK WE WILL:
Reading: We will be reading Pie in the Sky, From Apple to Store, and Bread Comes to Life.
Math: We will begin Chapter 13 (Addition).
Writing: We will be writing a report about bread.
Religion: We will talk about our helper, the Holy Spirit!
Social Studies/Science: We will begin our dinosaur unit!
