6th Grade- Today you will be participating in Literature Circle #4.
7th Grade- Today we will continue watching West Side Story. Keep up with your notes on the similarities and differences between the movie and Romeo and Juliet.
8th Grade- Today a WWII vet will be coming in to speak to the class.
Tuesday, May 15
6th Grade- Today we will be taking a look at sample introduction paragraphs, and using the 6+1 Traits, we will be evaluating them.
7th Grade- We will continue with West Side Story. Tomorrow your final essays are due. Remember, you need two quotes, formatted properly.
8th Grade- Today is your quest on October Sky.

6th Grade- Today we will evaluating two essays using the 6+1 Traits of Writing.

6th Grade- Work day on Literature Circle Group #5.
7th Grade- Today is the last day for West Side Story. Any remaining time will be used for exam review.

Field Day
***Each day students will be working on grammar and vocabulary. We go over in class the definition of the word(s) for the day as well as use them in sentences. It is the student's responsibility to write these words/definitions down in their notebooks as we discuss them.***

Technology Spotlight
6th grade will be doing some research in the computer lab to find evidence for their persuasive essays. Last week, 8th grade made Wordles describing a character from October Sky.
